My First Christmas Cards!

Today, I finally got to go down to my crafting area and make my very first Christmas cards...ever!  I had some fun trying to find just the right combinations of Copic colors to color with.

House Mouse

I think House Mouse stamps are so cute.  But I've always shied away from them because they seemed so complicated to color, the images are very detailed.  But I found a sale on stamps and decided to buy a few.  It was a lot of fun.  I think I still need practice with them.  But my first card isn't too bad for a first attempt with House Mouse.  If you look closely, you'll see a little sparkle in the glow around the Christmas lights!

Christmas Bells

I was just trying some techniques I've seen on other stamping sites.  For instance, I was practicing blending with my Copics.  Also, the green paper is actually from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress collection.  I did direct to paper application of Memento ink in Cottage Ivy.  I think it helps the card to have a simple, country look.

  1. These are the most beautiful card I've ever seen! Very detailed, colorful, and wonderful creativity with the stamps. I made two attempts at Thanksgiving cards that I scrapped due to OE flaws. You've inspired me to give it another go. Very well done and extremely talented. Thanks for sharing!
